i want her shoes

So I've never really been that much of a 'shoe person'.. I would always pick buying clothes over shoes but recently that has all changed!
I've realised you cannot have an outfit that looks great without good shoes to go with it!
So recently I've found myself constantly looking at shoes.. Like I said before I've never been one for heels but there are so many nice winter boots out there at the moment with a heel I am loving them.

Here's just a few that are on my wish list at the moment..
I went to River Island this morning and saw both the baby pink boots and the mint green loafers and loved them both, I could really do with some flats/loafers for when it starts getting warmer and I love this colour.
I am also in love with the polka dot boots, I am always a sucker for polka dots, but never thought about them on shoes before I saw these but I think they're great.

Off home for the week tomorrow evening so I am hoping to get some outside outfit post's done instead of my boring uni room!
Also I have completely changed the layout/design of my blog, I finally figured out navagation bars/image mapping etc which I've been wanting to do for aaaages, really pleased with how it's turned out. It's definitely not perfect but at least it's a start.. :)

saturday shop

    Afternoon everyone!
So a third outfit of the day this week, am definitely getting a bit too excited about my new tripod haha. Thought I may as well make the most of it!
Went off to town today in search of a mini suitcase for travelling back home from uni, I always end up lugging about 3 different bags from my arms and bashing into people with them which is a nightmare..
So I found smallish (kind of medium) sized black case in Primark for just £10! It didn't make any sense as the smaller one which I wanted was £25, so thought I may aswell go abit bigger for the money off!
Anyway enough rambling about that...

Hat - Topman
Striped Crop Top - Miss Selfridge
Shirt - H&M
Necklace - Present for christmas
Jeans - Topshop Joni's
Shoes - River Island

Lots of post's planned for next week! I have uni from Monday-Wednesday then I am off home wednesday night until sunday, so I can put my case to good use!

Hope everyone has had a good week :)

dip dye knit

Hey guys,
Just a quick outfit post for you!
This jumper come's very handy in this cold weather, I love the dip dyed effect on it!
I look pretty terrible in these pictures (was a teeny bit hungover!) but had to go into lectures at uni so thought I may aswell take a few photos.. (I only got time to take these few so sorry there aren't very many)
The shoes are a lovely sale purchase I got a few weeks ago, I absolutely love them! £25 from River Island. I'm not a heel wearer at all, constantly in flats/trainers, but these are so comfy and I don't feel as though I'm wobbling about wearing heels!
Jumper - Topshop
Shirt - H&M
Necklace - Primark
Leggings - Topshop
Boots - River Island

check mate

Hey guys!
So sorry I haven't done a blog post for a week, i'm not slacking already, honest! Its because I went home from uni for the week and couldn't take my SLR with me, and to be honest I was having a nice week off before starting the term again!
Denim Jacket, Orange Crop Top, Leggings and Necklace - Topshop
White Long Sleeve - Dorothy Perkins
Shoes - Nike Air Force 1's
Watch - Leather Casio
Ring - Miss Selfridge

This is just a quick outfit of the day post for you, I'm in a three hour break from lectures at uni so thought I would do something productive.
Now I know the majority of this outfit is from Topshop, this will probably crop up a lot in my posts as I worked there for 2 years before coming to uni, and still go back at christmas etc. So a lot of my clothes do tend to be from there as you can't say no to the discount and uniform!

Anyway I better get ready to pop out to uni again..

Would be great to hear of some ideas for any future blog posts from you guys?! :)

flower power

Hey everyone! So i was stuck indoors in the rain today with nothing to do, so thought I would brighten the day up with some summery/spring themed nails! Going slightly against the weather right now but fingers crossed the rain we've had every day for weeks will disappear soon! (Wishful thinking considering it's january..)

1.) First off I decided on a selection of my pastel nail varnishes, and applied different colours on each nail

2.) Here I used my nail art pens to dot around circles into flower shapes like the one above, I then used a different colour for the middle of the flowers

3.) Once I'd finished drawing in the flowers, I applied a drying top coat, and here's the finished result!

This look is probably far too bright and colourful for this time of year but there we go!
It does require a steady hand and these definitely aren't perfect, but I love experimenting with different nail designs and I'm sure you'll be seeing more as the year goes on..

Would be great to hear or see some more nail art designs for me to try out, or if you've tried any then send me a link and I would love to take a look!

make up favourites

Thought I'd go through a few make-up products that I can't get enough of at the moment..

1.) L'Oréal Paris True Match Foundation  - I always struggle to find a foundation I actually like, but when I brought this when it was on offer, I absolutely loved it. It blends to the tone of your skin and creates a really smooth finish, I just brought my second bottle yesterday, I decided to go for a shade lighter (C2 Rose Vanilla) as my previous one was a tiny bit too dark for my skin but this is definitely the foundation that I will stick to for a while!

2.) Bourjois Healthy Balance Compact Powder - I got this as a christmas present, I'd never tried any skin products from Bourjois before, but I love this powder. I have naturally oily skin so powder is a must for me! It's always difficult trying to find one that keeps your skin looking matte all day, but this one does a good enough job and blends into my skin really well. It also has a compact mirror within it as well which is helpful when out and about!

3.) L'Oreal Paris Lumi Magique Primer - Before I saw this product on offer which the True Match foundation, I had never been using a primer before, I'd always wanted to try one but wasn't sure what product to go for and if they would actually work!
But I would recommend this product to anyone, I didn't realise the effects of a primer until I didn't use it one day and my skin felt completely different, it just makes the skin brighter and smoother and holds the foundation on for a lot longer than it would without. I am getting to the end of my bottle so will definitely have to get another as soon as I run out!

4.) Rimmel Exaggerate Eye Liner - I've been using this eyeliner ever since I mastered the classic cat-eye flick! Its so easy to apply and the bottle lasts ages. I've gone back and fourth to other liquid eyeliners and this is the only one I've found that doesn't feel like its burning off my skin! I must have sensitive skin around my eyes but any other I have used haven't been nice to wear at all. This one will be keeping it's place in my make up bag for a long time!

5.) Bourjois Little Round Pot Blusher - This blusher is a cute and easy little compact to pop in your bag, its comes in a variety shades and it's quite heavily pigmented so you don't need too much! I like the apply with a bigger brush than the one in the pot as it gives a more natural finish.

6.) Bourjois Volume Glamour Max Mascara - When my mum brought me the powder and blusher for christmas, this mascara actually came free in an offer, but I love it. Its quite a big brush but it's not clumpy at all and is really good on the bottom lashes aswell.

7.) L'Oréal Paris Perfection Colour Riche Lipstick - This was another freebie my mum got in a magazine and gave to me. I am a sucker for red lipsticks and I love this shade. I normally wear it on a night out and it lasts a good few hours! This shade is 461 (Scarlett Creme).

8.) Bourjois Smoky Eyes Eyeshadow - I can't go on a night out without a smokey eye make up look! It's the only time I like to do a smokey eye, but it's nice to go abit more dramatic on a night out! This was yet another free one within the offer of buying 2 Bourjois products for my christmas presents. I have a lot of different smokey eye eyeshadow sets, but I do really like this one as the colour's come out really strong and I also love the way it looks!

They are all linked if you wanna take a look!

What do you think of these products?
