OOTD: urban animal print

Screen Shot 2014-03-31 at 17.30.52
Trousers - Topshop
Orange Crop Top - Topshop
Cream Top - Topshop
Denim Jacket - Topshop
Necklace - Topshop
Boots - River Island

Quick outfit of the day today, I have already shown these trousers this month but this look is quite different from the last so thought I would take a few snaps!
Now I know pretty much all of this outfit is Topshop, but that's just how it panned out.
I still love these trousers even though they're quite old, they're so comfortable and I love the print. I am desperate for a few more pairs of printed trousers for summer as they're so easy to put on with a plain top and the outfit looks great! I added a high collared orange crop top underneath this loose cream woven top - I think the pop of orange adds a nice bold colour into the look. I really liked this look as it's casual with a little urban edge.

What do you think?
Are there any printed trouser's you'd recommend for spring/summer?

OOTD: tartan skort

Skort - River Island
T-shirt - River Island
Jacket - Topshop
Bag - Vintage
Shoes - Primark

I know this post is slightly different today! The wind yesterday was an nightmare, and most of the photos came out with me looking like a windswept lion, my hair was not doing me any favours!
So I started playing around a bit on photoshop, and thought I would make these photo's a little more interesting. What do you think!?
I got this tartan skort in the River Island sale after christmas time for a bargain of £15, I am a lover of everything tartan and although that trend has been very overworked I still love it!
I haven't worn this skort too much yet (it's a size 6 and I have to admit, a bit of a squeeze to get into!) but will definitely be wearing them more now it's getting warmer.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

PRETTY LITTLE THING: blogger competition

Here is an outfit wishlist I have put together for the VIP blogger competition. Pretty Little Thing are currently running a competition to put together your favourite outfit off of their website to win the chance to become a VIP blogger, style your own shoot, win the outfit that you blogged about and take over the Pretty Little Thing blog for 4 weeks! Amazing prizes right!?
I couldn't wait to put together an outfit from the website as theres some great bits and pieces on there at the moment, I went with a monochrome look with a hint of bold colour.
I put the little mesh crop top together with these black ripped boyfriend jeans, then I added a bright royal blue long kimono to inject a bit of colour! I am in love with these cut out white boots so I just couldn't resist picking those, I then added in some pattern with the checkered monochrome clutch and last but not least went with a classic fedora hat to finish off the look.
All the bits I chose are linked underneath as you can see!

What do you think of this outfit?

SHOP THE TREND: sports luxe

An upcoming trend for S/S'14, we are seeing cut out crops, padded fabric and mesh materials coming into the high street and with the Topshop x Adidas collaboration recently being released, the sport's inspired clothing is coming back in full swing!
Here I've put together a moodboard and a few wishlists based on this trend. Personally I am definitely a fan of this trend, I am a lover of trainers and bomber jackets and I would love to invest in a few key pieces for my wardrobe that really represent this trend, and I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more on the high street in the coming months!

Which pieces are your favourite out of these Sports Luxe picks?

MAKE UP: red lips

A classic make-up look that never goes out of fashion.. The red lip.
I generally don't ever leave the house without a bit of colour on my lips, and the majority of the time, it's red! Here I've put together a little post on the products I use to get the perfect red lips.

My mum gave me the L'OrĂ©al Paris Perfection Colour Riche Lipstick that she got for free from a magazine deal but didn't want it, and it's ended up being one of my most used lipsticks out of my little collection. I am not one for buying a lot of make-up so I have to say I haven't tried and tested a wide variety of lipsticks, but this is definitely one I would recommend. The colour comes out very rich and pigmented and its easy to apply, plus I love the casing and how L'O'real engrave their logo onto the lipstick - lovely touch!
The second product I use if I want to go for a slightly more glamorous, glossy look is Bourjois Effect 3D Lipgloss - again this was a lucky freebie with a gift pack I got for christmas. It's good for plumping up the lips and creating an overall shine and glossy look as well as adding a bit of extra colour.

What do you think of this look?
What products do you use to achieve the red lip?

OOTD: red jeans

Jeans - Topshop Leighs in Raspberry
Top - Next
Jacket - New Look
Bag - Ebay
Boots - River Island

I brought these jeans last year from Topshop, and I'd actually forgotten I had them until I discovered them in my wardrobe yesterday. I haven't worn them for a few months while it's been colder as they are ankle grazers, but with these boots they work well and now the weather is warming up, these are the perfect colour for spring!
These one's aren't available anymore but I found some ones on Asos here that are exactly the same colour. It was pretty chilly when I took these photos so I know this isn't exactly a 'spring' like outfit, but still it shows that the jeans can be worn either way and I'm sure I'll be doing some post's with them when it gets warmer.
I stole this top from my Mum's wardrobe (much to her annoyance!), but as she hasn't even worn it since buying it I felt it needed to be worn! The print looks almost stripy in the pictures, but in real life it's actually a small dogtooth print, and the high collar and fit has a very 60's feel to it, so this is definitely something I'll be wearing (stealing..) again!

Hope everyone's having a great weekend.

3 WAYS: to wear boyfriend jeans

Title pic for bf jeans
Topshop Hayden Boyfriend Jeans - £42
Here I have put together three different way's you can style up a pair of boyfriend jeans. If you saw my haul post you would of seen I purchased some from Topshop last week, and am falling more and more in love with them! It's clear they are fast becoming a popular trend of S/S14...

This is an easy wearable outfit for day-to-day life. The leather biker adds a bit of edge but the loose striped tee and nikes create a casual but cool combination.
This outfit is very me! The mix of the tied up checked shirt, grey beanie and ripped jeans creates a very 'grungey' feel to the look. This is also an outfit that can be worn casually in the day time.
If your going for a smart look but want to tone it down slightly, then these jeans are perfect to do that. I paired it with a bright lime green blazer to add a pop of colour, and a patterned blouse with wooden tan heels. This outfit could be worn for a formal lunch or dinner and drinks out!

What do you think of boyfriend jeans?
What's your favourite look out of these three?

GET THE LOOK: suki waterhouse and cara delevingne

I came across these photograph's of Suki Waterhouse and Cara Delevingne online a few days ago, as they attended Karl Lagerfeld's fragrance launch VIP dinner at Harrods in London.
I loved what both of them were wearing and the majority of the pictures they were together so thought I would do a special double 'Get The Look' this week!
Suki was wearing pale satin pastels with this gorgeous baby pink dress paired with blue and cream heels, and Cara went for an androgynous look with a statement white suit and black shirt.
These are both very different but classic looks, and here's how to achieve them on the high street...

HAUL: primark, topshop & LUSH

I ended up going on a spontaneous shopping trip yesterday, I tried to be good and not spend too much, but I did pick up a few bits... (there's only so long a girl can avoid shopping!)
Shirt - Primark £10
I fell in love with this shirt as soon as I saw it.. The checks with the white daisies is such a summer/spring pattern. I got it in a size 10 as I wanted it a little oversized, this will be perfect to tie up as a crop top with a pair of high waisted denim shorts in summer!
Hayden Boyfriend Jeans - Topshop £42
I have been desperate for a new pair of jeans for months, and have been lusting over the boyfriend style for quite a while. So I finally took the plunge and brought some, I wasn't sure about them at first but having tried them on a few times I do really like the fit and the style! These jeans are great as they're fitted around the hips/bum but then loosen around the rest of the leg meaning they're still a flattering fit. Plus I had a £20 Topshop voucher so I didn't feel too guilty spending! I think I'll be getting a lot of wear out of these. They are a size 8 (W26L32).
Necklaces - Primark both £3
Now I am known for having a rather large necklace collection but I just couldn't resist these two. The pastel colours are perfect for spring and let's face it, at £3 each they're a bargain!
I really love the little pastel roses one, it's really different from anything I've seen and will look great underneath a collared shirt.
Tea Tree Water - LUSH £3.95
I've seen this tea tree water reviewed by quite a few bloggers recently, and with all good reviews I really wanted to try it out. I could quite easily buy every product in that store, they all look amazing!
I can't say too much on my thought's on this as I haven't been using it for long enough, but I used it last night and this morning and it is so refreshing! I'm looking forward to seeing if it makes a difference to my skin.
Headband - Primark £1.50
This was a just a little thing I picked up while waiting in the queue and thought it would come very in handy. I recently got a fringe cut in and as much as I really like it, it does drive me insane at certain time's when I'm lounging at home and want it off my face. This is perfect for putting my hair back when taking make up off, using face masks and keeping my fringe off my forehead. It came in a variety of patterns and is really comfy.

All in all was a successful little shop and I'm pleased with all the bits I brought!

What do you think?

Daisy Print Top - Primark
Skirt - River Island
Bag - Primark
Shoes - Primark
Denim Jacket - Topshop
Sunglasses - New Look
Scarf - Charity Shop

Well I'm sure I'm not the only one enjoying the sunshine, such lovely weather for march - today was 19 degrees! Me and my boyfriend, Jack went for a trip into town and a had little picnic in the sun. I'm sure this weather won't be sticking round for long knowing England so thought I would make the most of it!
Today I'm wearing a cute little daisy print top I picked up from Primark a few months ago, I haven't been able to wear it yet as I thought it was a little summery, so figured today was a great chance to wear it. I paired it with a forest green skater skirt and a denim jacket, perfect outfit for the spring weather!

WEEKLY WISHLIST: boohoo picks

Time for a weekly wishlist! Instead of including a wishlist with items from a variety of stores, I thought each week I would focus on the pieces I liked from one specific store. This week I have picked Boohoo, I'm loving Boohoo at the moment and think it's got better and better as time has gone on! Here are the few bits that I picked out when browsing on the website..

Becky Dark Base Floral Kimono - I have been lusting over a floral kimono for months now, and I love the pattern and the fringing on this one, will definitely need to purchase one for this summer!
Sophia Quilted Bomber Jacket - I'm a lover of mint green (who isn't!?) and bomber jackets, so I love this combination, would be a perfect jacket for the spring weather.
Rhonda Extreme Wash Open Knee Boyfriend Jeans - I love these boyfriend style jeans, I've always wanted a pair but never like them as much when they're on, yet love them when I see other people wearing them, I really like the ripped knees in this one as it add's a bit of grunge.
Amy Polka Dot + Lace Short Sleeve Boxy Shirt - Such a cute little shirt, I already have quite a few similar to this but they're so easy to put on or layer under a jumper.
Aniela Metallic Trim Structured Bowler Bag - I love the orange tint to this tan coloured bag and the gold detailing is lovely!
Coco Pastel Tartan Ponte Skort - I am in love with this skort, I am a sucker for tartan but love how this one is in pale/nude colours, easy to pair up with anything!

What's your favourite out of these bits?
