Hey guys,
It's been a few days or so since posting as I've been pretty busy with work etc over the weekend, but I made the most of the lovely warm weather today and got lots done!
I got this dress last week and couldn't wait to do an outfit post on it, I brought it for uniform at work after falling in love with the print. There are so many tropical inspired prints on the high street at the moment, especially within Topshop as part of a spring/summer trend called 'The Pacific Life' - check out all the other items and the trend here
I decided it still wasn't quite warm enough to go all out with just the dress, so I layered it with this long sleeve top underneath. I also paired it with my vintage green 90's jacket - not sure if this is a bit too much green along with all the leaves on the dress but thought I'd go all out!
This dress is quite a thick, scuba style material and I'd definitely recommend going a size up when buying as it seems to come up very small! I'm usually a size 8 but had to get this in a size 10.

What do you think of the Pacific Life trend?

FRIDAY FEELING: cosy night in

Retro Sweet Shop in a Jar

So it's nearly the weekend again, and as part of my 'Friday Feeling' posts I've put together a little list for a typical night in! I didn't want to just put together different outfit's to wear for a weekend night out as I'm sure I'm not the only one that enjoys a cosy night in just as much as a night on the town.
This post is very fitting for the very miserable weather that's arrived today, I don't think I'd want to venture out in a dress and heels when it's freezing and extremely wet!
Here I've put together a few bits that are essential for a girls night in. I love these H&M pyjamas, they're the classic colour with the oversized shirt but the cute little shorts keep them nice and girly.
I think everyone needs a night in once in a while to pamper themselves with a face mask and eat far too many sweets, plus who can say no to a Zac Efron movie!?

Jumper - Topman
Skirt - Topshop
Necklace - Topshop
Jacket - New Look
Shoes - Nike Air Force 1's

Yes I know, another tartan piece! It seem's as though half of my outfit posts have had something tartan in them recently but that's just the way it's worked out!
This was an outfit I threw on for work the other day but quite liked the combination so thought I'd snap a few pictures.
I got this jumper in the Topman sale a while ago, and I have had so much wear out of it! I love having a look in the men's section of stores as I think you can always pick up something a bit different. This jumper is so easy to throw on, you wouldn't know it was a men's one!

What do you think? Do you ever buy anything from a men's store?

Jacket - Spitalfield Market in London
Top - Topshop
Jamie Jeans in Mint Green - Topshop
Bag - Primark
Shoes - New Look

As the weather has been looking up slightly in the last week, it inspired me on to put together another spring themed post (note the very floral background!).
I'm not typically a very girly dresser, but I really love this mint green look. I got these jeans from work last year but as pastels are very much one of the key trends for SS14, they're definitely going to be well worn this spring.
This crochet floral white top was another work purchase last year, but I brought it at the end of summer so haven't had a lot of wear of it at all but again, I think it'll be great for the spring and summer months.
And of course I couldn't resist featuring my new jacket again, I think it works well paired with this outfit as it add's a slight edge to the pastel, feminine theme. I can't get enough of wearing it recently!

Hope everyone is having a lovely Easter weekend, I have been making the most of having 4 days off work!
What have you been doing for Easter weekend?

FESTIVAL READY: headwear

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only blogger wishing they were at Coachella or lusting after the clothes everyone there is wearing. As the festival season here will be coming up soon, I'm going to be putting together a series of posts based on festival fashion.
Up first is headwear - I think this is one of the main trend's associated with festivals, you can't be seen heading to festival without a floral head garland or a headband of some sort. Perfect for covering up a bad hair day after not being able to wash it for a few days!
I love all these bits, and even though I probably won't be going to a festival this year - I am definitely going to get one of these little flower headbands!

What do you think? Which one is your favourite?

Jacket - Spitalfields Market in London, £30
Top - Primark
Jeans - Topshop
Necklace - Gift
Sunglasses - New Look
Bag - Topshop
Boots - River Island

Well it was obvious this jacket was going to feature in my next outfit post, I just couldn't wait to wear it! I came across it in Spitalfield's on Sunday on the first stall I saw, I didn't get it as I thought I would have a look round first but I couldn't stop thinking about getting it as it really caught my eye. I ended up going back before we left and luckily took the last one! I'm so happy I went back to get it as it's going to fast become a staple piece in my wardrobe, I love how oversized it is - so easy to wear!
I was in the mood to clash it up with a bit more pattern so I put it with this little red tartan top - I think they blend well together, the dogtooth print is quite subtle so it's easy to pair up with other patterns.
Of course the boyfriend jeans made a show again, living in them at the moment!

What do you think of the oversized jacket?

WEEKEND TRIP: london

1) London buses
2) Boyce Avenue performing
3) Essential morning starbucks
4) Raspberry sorbet in Pizza Express
5) Saturday's outfit
6) Sweets in Harrods
7) Nick Howard supporting Boyce Avenue
8) Taking photo's in Hyde Park
9) Jack having too much fun in Toy Kingdom in Harrods
10) New jacket I brought from Spitalfields market
11) Harrods lollipops
12) Entrance to Hyde Park

I thought I would share a few snaps from my weekend in London, it's safe to say after 3 days walking around I was knackered! I had such a great time though and managed to squeeze in a lot to do in the space of a few days. Jack and I had tickets to see Boyce Avenue in the O2 on Friday night but thought we would make a weekend of it as we were going down to London.
The Boyce Avenue concert was amazing, as well as their set being really good they had some great support acts. The concert was in the indigO2 in the O2, we went for a lovely meal before hand then queued for about a mile to get in but once the doors opened we got into the venue pretty quickly.
On the Saturday we went for breakfast at Starbucks, walked up Regent Street and visited Hamleys - I felt like a kid again! We then went over to Harrods, which I soon discovered you can spend hours in, we definitely ended up getting lost a few times!
Next we took the tube over to Hyde Park and had a walk around there and some lunch, then we went over to the Natural History Museum and had a look around (cultural hey!?). By this point I was absolutely knackered from walking back and fourth London all day, so we headed back for a relaxing night in as we were staying with one of Jack's relatives.

On the Sunday we decided to go to Spitalfield's and Brick Lane market, which I was really looking forward to as I love all the bits they sell there! Spitalfield's is amazing, they have so many different stalls full of jewellery, clothes, pictures, crafts and more! I would have got photos but you weren't allowed to take any around a lot of the stalls. I picked up some lovely vintage vogue cover frames for my bedroom (which you can see over on my instagram) and a gorgeous oversized dogtooth jacket which I am in love with!
We then wandered over to Brick Lane and the atmosphere is amazing, they have so many different world food stands, music playing and people all over the place - it's definitely somewhere you should visit on Sunday in London! Unfortunately I didn't get to try any of the food as we had just had a Nando's before hand (oops!) but if I go there again I'll definitely try some of it out!

By this point it was time to head home... and I think my feet are still recovering from being so sore after all that walking!
It was a great weekend and I just love visiting London - it make's coming back home seem very boring!

Hope you all had a great weekend.
p.s I know I don't have any sort of chance but I thought I would give it a go either way! PACKING: for a weekend away

DSC_0277
So I am off to London on a weekend trip on Friday, and this inspired me to do a post of what I was packing and planning to wear for the weekend! Me and my boyfriend, Jack are going to see Boyce Avenue on friday night then spend the rest of the weekend exploring, relaxing, eating and spending. I'm looking forward to it as I haven't been to London in a while.
We all know packing for a weekend away can be a tricky business, especially if your staying in a hotel over night and have to carry round all your stuff throughout the day trekking around London!
Unfortunately I will be doing a bit of this at the weekend, as the gig we are going to is in the O2 we're staying in a hotel near by for the night, then the night after that we are staying at a relative's about 45 minutes tube journey away from the centre of London. So I thought I would show you the essentials and outfit plans I have made for this weeekend.. (How organised am i!?)
beautyessentials
My Beauty Essentials:
- Make-up wipes
- Toothbrush/tooth paste
- Deodorant
- Mini hairspray
- Mini face wash
- Dry shampoo
- Hair scrunching spray
- Face moisturiser
These are the first things that will go into my bag when packing toiletries for a night away, I'll pop in a few other bits last minute such as a hair brush and a small bottle of perfume!

DAY22
day2
I needed to plan what outfit's I would be wearing as I had to pack light for the overnight stay in the hotel as I don't want to be lugging too much around the next day! I wanted to wear something nice for the gig but nothing too dressy, I think the boot's go great with the outfit but I'm not 100% sure I'm going to able to fit it all in - so I may have to revert back to the Nikes! These are the general outfit plans but I still have a day to decide so we'll see happens.
What are your essentials or favourite outfits for a weekend away?

I'll be updating my instagram with photos through out the weekend and will be putting together some post's about it next week so keep an eye out!

Crop Top - Primark
Grey Jersey Top - Topshop
Pencil skirt - Topshop
Coat - H&M
Necklace - Primark
Shoes - Nike Air Force 1's

One thing I'm loving at the moment is the midi length skirt/dress with trainers, I'm always one for sporty shoes with something feminine and think this combination works really well!
I got this letters and numbers crop top from Primark last year, I haven't worn it a great amount but think it's great top to layer up with - this loose grey jersey jumper is perfect for throwing over something!
Quite a black and grey outfit compared to what I usually go for!
What do you think of the trainers and midi combination?

GET THE LOOK: lauren pope

I have been loving Lauren Pope's style recently, I think she's definitely one of the best dressed out of the Only Way is Essex cast - I'm always looking at what she's wearing each week and as she has now brought out her own clothing line I think a lot of women are following her style.
I spotted this outfit online and couldn't resist putting an outfit together for it, as I have mentioned before I love love love printed trousers and this floral pair from Oasis are beautiful! I'm pleased I managed to find the actual pair that Lauren is wearing.
It's a dressed up yet casual outfit and would be great for a variety of occasions!
What do you think?

Trousers - Primark
Jacket - H&M (old)
Shoes - New Look
Necklace - Primark

Hey everyone,
A spring inspired outfit for today's post, even thought it's looking pretty cloudy outside!
If you saw my haul a few week's ago you would of seen I got this lovely daisy print/gingham shirt from Primark, I absolutely love the print and it will be perfect for the spring/summer months!
I brought these mint green trousers from Primark a year or so ago, as they are quite lightweight and a light colour I haven't worn them over winter, so once I discovered them hiding at the back of my wardrobe I thought they'd be great to pair with the shirt!
I think it was obvious these shoe's were definitely going to be my first choice for any outfit post, but they work great with the spring theme. I'm pretty sure they will be very well worn this summer!

TREND: the chunky sandal

Sandals
DSC_0199
DSC_0197
The chunky sandal is fast becoming one of the most popular footwear trend's for S/S14, and I couldn't help but jump on the bandwagon.
I picked up these little beauties from New Look last week when I was supposed to be Mother's Day shopping (oops!). They're great for me as I love the chunky style but I don't go for the extremely high ones so these are the perfect height. At first I couldn't decide between white or black but I'm a sucker for white shoes at the moment and these one's will be perfect to pair with a spring outfit. They are very soft around the straps and extremely comfortable, so I would definitely recommend these if your looking for a pair of summer sandals. You can purchase them on the website here.

To tie in with this I thought I would put together a little wishlist of my favourite sandals available on the high street at the moment, all are linked below!

What do you think of the chunky sandal trend?
Which one's would you pick?
