OOTD: striped maxi

stripedmaxi1
stripedmaxi2
Black Heeled Sandals - River Island
Crop Top - Primark
Necklace - Topshop
Tote Bag - Ebay

A maxi skirt is a staple for any summer wardrobe - they're so easy to wear, so comfortable and always on trend! I'm definitely a maxi fan and can't wait to purchase a few more for this summer.
This striped skirt is from New Look, I have linked it above but there is only a few sizes available!
I think this skirt is perfect for these spring months as it's a great wear for when the weathers slightly warm but the monochrome stripes with the long sleeve crop keep it from looking too summery. You can never rely on the British weather and it seems lately it has pretty much disappeared!

GET THE LOOK: vanessa hudgens

I'm pretty sure everyone who stalked the celebs at Coachella this year can all agree that Vanessa Hudgens was one of the best dressed when it came to festival style.
I am a huge fan of this festival look (even though I have never been to one!) - I think even if your not going to a festival this year you can still embrace bit's of this look in the summer sun!
This was definitely my favourite look of Vanessa's after looking at what she wore at Coachella.

What do you think of the boho festival look?

Pull & Bear Gingham Pencil Skirt - Asos
'Tres en Vogue Madame' T-Shirt - River Island
Black and Gold Round Frame Sunglasses - New Look
White Caged Chunky Block Heel Sandals - New Look
Clutch Bag - New Look (old)
Bracelets - Accessorize

I still can't resist a bit of a gingham for summer especially this navy blue number from Pull & Bear. I think this outfit definitely has a bit of a French inspired theme going on, anyone else agree?! Yes I know the French slogan is a big giveaway, but I think the whole feel of the outfit with the circular sunnies together with the clutch is a very sophisticated look for me... Not my usual attire!
The majority of this outfit is all linked above if your interested!

TOPSHOP TREND: city tribes

"Bring your summer holiday to the city by mixing bold tropical prints, khaki separates and clean-cut sandals from our so-now City Tribes trend." - www.topshop.com

This new trend 'City Tribes' is on it's way to Topshop, now I'm sure can gather the feel of this trend by the name, it includes a sports city vibe mixed with bold, arty african prints.
I definitely a fan of this new SS14 trend, anything with a tropical print and I'm sold (how amazing is that Leaf Print crop top!?) and I would say some of my style is very sports luxe - so really this trend is a pretty perfect combination of the two!

Scallop Crop Vest - Topshop
Jacket - Charity Shop
Hat - Primark
Necklace - Primark
Shoes - Debenhams

If you saw my post last week on harem trousers/joggers you'll know that I am a big fan.
These printed joggers are currently on sale in Topshop at the moment, they're such a lightweight material and so comfy - plus perfectly on trend for summer. I paired them with a coral top and a lime blazer inspired by this lovely weather we have had over the weekend, I hope everyone enjoyed some of the sunshine!
This is a very 'boho' inspired look for me, I don't usually wear hats but I found this one I brought from Primark a long long time ago and thought it went really well with this outfit. I'm going to branch out there with the hat wearing from now on, desperate for a fedora for this summer!

BEAUTY: maybelline baby skin instant pore eraser

In the past I have definitely been one of those girls that just chucks on a foundation and a bit of cover up and is ready to go, but recently I have been experimented with various primers and highlighters as you may of seen in a few of my reviews and I've really noticed a difference in how my make up looks. I really believe now that you need a good primer before applying any foundation!

I purchased this product a week or so ago after coming across it when browsing in Boots (and yes I was searching for products after giving into to the 3 for 2 offer they always seem to have!). After trying out the tester for this Instant Pore Eraser I was really eager to try it, even after I put a little bit on my hand you could really feel a difference in your skin!
After applying this a few times before my foundation I am completely sold, it has such a smooth texture it's like rubbing velvet into your skin! I only use it on my nose and cheeks as it isn't a huge tube and I want to make it last, plus I don't feel it on of those products you need to apply to your whole face.
You really notice a difference to the smoothness of your skin and it just helps create an overall even coverage when applying your foundation, it definitely seems to erase those pores!
I think it's clear I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a lightweight smoothing primer.
Have you tried Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser?
Is there any other primer's you would recommend?

p.s - I have been shortlisted for the Company Style Blogger Awards, if you enjoy reading or looking at my blog it would mean the absolute world if you gave me a vote! OOTD: let's go down to the tennis court

tenniswhite11
tenniswhite2
tenniswhite3
Shoes - New Look
Jacket - Vintage Market
Sunglasses - New Look

This outfit definitely makes me feel like I should go and play tennis...
I don't usually go for an all white/monochrome outfit but I love this look! I got this sport luxe crop top from Missguided a week or so ago, it's such a great fit and is the ultimate crop for a sporty look. This Topshop skort I brought a few days ago as uniform for work but thought it would go perfectly with this top and I loved the snakeskin detailing, it is slightly on the short side so I'd definitely prefer if it was a little longer but I suppose as it is technically shorts that's why it feels a bit short as a skirt! Both are still on sale now so I have linked them above if you are interested.
I brought these sunglasses this week from New Look, I absolutely love the circular shape of these ones. I am desperate for a white pair - every blogger seems to have the Primark ones and it's times like these I wish I lived nearer to a Primark!

What do you think of this look?

Top - Topshop
Skirt - Topshop
Necklace - Accessorize
Sandals - Matalan

I'm sure I'm not the only one who enjoyed the weather today, I was lucky enough to have a day off work so thought I would make the most of the sunshine.
These pictures weren't actually supposed to form an outfit post, I had been shooting quite a few different outfits and afterwards got changed into this outfit as I was so hot from the sun! (I know.. british problems) and my boyfriend just snapped a few photos of this outfit and in the end I thought I would put it up!
This skirt is from last year at Topshop and I still love it, I love the graduation from the short to long length and will definitely be wearing this in summer and for my holiday!

Short little post today but keep your eye's peeled for lot's of new outfit's coming up next week!
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend

SHOP THE TREND: white out

So recently I have been obsessed with white clothes.. and I don't think I'm the only one as it's clear this is a very popular trend for S/S14!
I wanted to put together a wishlist for just a few of the bit's and pieces I found online that I'm loving at the moment, I think white is such a versatile colour and great for a clean and simple look.
I absolutely love this River Island jumper and I think these Boohoo sandals would be perfect for summer! I definitely want to purchase a few more white pieces for my wardrobe.
What pieces are you favourite?

OOTD: baseball and skate shoes

skateshoesbaseball1
skateshoesbaseball2
skateshoesbaseball3
Top - Topman
Shirt - Charity Shop
Leggings - Topshop
Shoes - New Look
Headscarf - Charity Shop
Heart and Cross Ring - Miss Selfridge
Midi Rings - Primark

A casual outfit that I wore to work last week, this baseball top I brought from Topman in London last year - shopping in men's stores again I know! I've had so much wear out of it though it's such an easy top to chuck on with anything but still keep's the outfit interesting.
This snake skin shirt I got from a charity shop a while back and I can't say the amount of time's I've worn it - I won't go on again about my love for charity shops, but this was definitely a great bargain buy!
Now I have wanted some skater shoes for so so long now, they're easy to wear and so on trend right now - I know that the one's in Topshop have been one of the most popular pairs but I just couldn't get on with them. They looked so comfortable but soon as I put them on they were really painful on my toes and my usual size 6 feet didn't seem to fit them. I have also heard from a lot of people that after buying them their feet have been in agony so as I'm all about comfort I decided to steer clear of these! Has anyone else found this?
I came across these while brousing in New Look the other day and they are the comfiest thing's ever, they go with pretty much every outfit and I am definitely going to be getting plenty of wear out of them!
You can find them on the New Look website here.

HIGH STREET PICKS: harem trousers/joggers

I have seen a lot of the harem trouser/joggers on the high street recently, and I think they are a great staple piece for your summer wardrobe! There are so many different styles, whether it's a bold pattern or a plain pair I think they are perfect for the summer months (at least if this weather improves, it has been raining all week!). I have a pair myself that I wear all the time featured in a post here, they're so lightweight and comfortable and I'm desperate to buy another pair for this year!
My favourite out of these are the checked Missguided ones and the blue palm print Topshop ones.
Which one's are you favourite?

It's safe to say this is a very exciting post to write! I'm sure everyone has seen that the Company Style Blogger Awards shortlist came out last night, and to my absolute shock... I have been shortlisted under Best Fashion Blog (Newcomer)!!
Completely and utterly stunned as I never dreamed of making the shortlist as I know there was so many people going for it this year and there was very tough competition, and considering I have only been blogging 5 month's I am so happy to of achieved this, so thank you so so much to anyone that nominated me!

OOTD: gingham crop

ginghamcrop1test
ginghamcrop2test

Crop Top - Charity Shop (George - Asda)
Skirt - Topshop
Cardigan - Topshop
Necklace - Topshop
Shoes - New Look
Bag - Vintage

I brought this lovely little top from a charity shop a week or so ago after just popping in for 2 minutes! It was originally quite a long top but as soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to wear it as a crop top. The gingham print is so on trend and I thought it would be so cute for summer, and for £3 - I couldn't exactly say no!
I am a lover of charity shopping and some of my favourite pieces in my wardrobe have come from a charity shop. I think it's a lot more satisfying sometime's picking something up really cheap, that you know no one else has that you can wear it a little differently to how the person before you did! Don't get me wrong sometimes you walk into a charity shop and think there is absolutely nothing, but you have to have a good root around and know how to look! At first glance the shape of this top was a bit frumpy but after tying it up into a little crop - wa la! I've got myself a perfect summer crop top.

What do you think? Do you buy any clothes from charity shops?

BEAUTY: topshop make up haul

DSC_0630
glowhighlighter
TOPSHOPLIPSTICK
LIPCREAMTOPSHOP
I have been wanting to try out Topshop make up for so long now, and after seeing it most days at work I couldn't resist trying out a few bits.
First off I got the Glow highlighter in 'Polished', I've heard from quite a few people that this is a great highlighter and as I've never used one in my daily make up routine I thought it was definitely something I should try out. I have used it a few times with my make- up and so far I like the results. I still don't feel totally confident in exactly where I should put the highlighter, but I have been experimenting using it above the cheekbone and in a few other areas around the face and it definitely gives you a light glow! It's subtle but I can definitely see a difference, I think after using this a few more times I will get the hang of using it in my make up routine.
Next I was desperate to purchase a lipstick as they have so many lovely colours, I went for this peachy light red called 'Macaroon'. I love the colour on the casing and although I do like the shade it comes out as on the lips, I don't feel it has as much vibrance as the colour on the packaging. Although it is still a really lovely subtle shade of red and is a great every day colour! These lipstick's are great as they don't dry out your lips as they have a moisturising finish.
Lastly this product I got free, Topshop have a deal on at the moment that if you spend over £15 you get a free lip cream. There was only a few shades to choose from being a very bright hot pink, a bold orange and this deep purple, I decided to go for the purple as I felt it wasn't so 'in your face' as the others. At first I thought I wouldn't like it as I'm not usually a lip gloss sort of girl but as these are creams they aren't sticky like the usual glosses, they are actually really moisturising and I love this shade!

I will definitely be purchasing some more Topshop make up soon as there's so many more products I want to try out!
Have you tried out any Topshop make up? What products would you recommend?
