OOTD: tropical kimono

Bandeau - New Look
Pencil Skirt - Topshop

Finally.. I have a kimono! After them being such a big trend this summer I have finally got one from the lovely Desire Clothing, and I am in love with this print. I am always a fan of a tropical print and the colours in this are gorgeous, I will definitely be taking this on my holiday with me.
I thought it paired really well with the blue shade of this Chelsea Doll necklace, a gorgeous tribal style pendant which can really style up a plain outfit. Counting down the days till my holiday so I can wear both of these!

OOTD: japanese silk

Toshiko Tropical Playsuit c/o Fashion Union
Bandeau - New Look
Necklace - Gift
Wrist Cuff - Carboot

This print is perfect for summer and something a little different from the usual floral pattern. It reminds me of a japanese style print especially with the silk material, a definite eye-catcher and extremely easy to style up. This is another gorgeous find from the Fashion Union website, so if you haven't already checked them out then you definitely need to take a look!
Also let's just acknowledge how amazing these heels are! I have been lusting over a pair like this for a while now and after I came across these on the Desire Clothing website I had to have them... every girl needs a pair of white heels in her wardrobe!

STYLE BATTLE: the photoshoot

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to go down to London to take part in a photo shoot with the amazing Shopcade after winning their monthly '#STYLEBATTLE' competition. As you may of seen already I also won tickets to Wireless as well as having this photo shoot so the prizes were pretty great!
I had such a great day at Shopcade and it was amazing to get my hair and make up done as well as take in everything that goes on at a professional photo shoot, I had 3 looks that were based on a high sports autumn/winter theme - although as it was 30 degrees that day I was a little toasty in the jumper dress!
I had such a good day so thank you to Shopcade and all the people that helped out that day!

PHOTOSHOOT: urban sport

I am currently working on my portfolio in Photography and Styling so over the summer I will be carrying out various photoshoots and I thought I would share them with you! Yesterday's photoshoot was based on an all white urban style sports theme, I added in a few pops of neon and black when styling up my two looks and I'm pretty pleased with the outcome! I recently bought a new lens (Nikon AF-S 50mm f1.8G) for my camera (Nikon D3100) which I couldn't wait to try out for this shoot and I could instantly tell the difference when taking these photographs. I still have a lot to learn when it comes to photography and styling but I'm looking forward to putting together more shoots in the future and developing my portfolio..

OOTD: palm print trousers

Sliders - H&M
Necklace - Gift

I never thought I would be one to wear a pair of wide leg trousers but after seeing this amazing print on the So In Fashion website I really wanted to see how these looked on me, and I definitely made the right decision - these are my new favourite pair of summer trousers! They're so lightweight and comfortable and I love the splits down the inside of the leg, these would be a perfect pair of trousers to wear on when travelling on holiday.

What do you think of the wide leg trousers trend?

OOTD: neon botanic

Fishnet Jumper - H&M
Sandals - River Island
Necklace - Topshop
Sunglasses - New Look

The print on this dress is just a dream, I am a sucker for a bold floral print and this one has to be one of my favourites I have come across this summer. The orange neon mixed with the large white flowers is such a eye-catching print, the dress is actually a very bright neon which I love - although the shade looks slightly more toned down in these pictures! This look is part of a campaign for Fashion Union's new dress collection so definitely get yourself on the website and have a look at all the amazing products they've got at the moment. This dress could be worn in a few different ways, either in a very girly style with a big pair of heels and a blazer or something more casual such as what I went for, I added a pop of black here and there to bring out the black detailing in the print and to give my look a slightly grungy feel.

What do you think to how I've styled up this dress?

OOTD: candy stripes

Scrunchie c/o Beach Melba
Sunglasses - Primark

I was lucky enough to win this gorgeous two piece in a giveaway from Beach Melba, a lovely clothing line featuring hand made pieces. I'm in love with this candy striped number, it's officially my first two piece and after wearing this I am desperate to get some more! I love the backless shape of the top - so perfect for summer and my holiday coming up. I even got this pretty scrunchie along with it as well, definitely have a check out on the website as there are some such lovely products!

OOTD: retro lips

Cardigan - Topshop
Choker - Topshop

I love the retro pop art style print on this dress, it's something a little different from what I usually go for but I really liked this outfit! I love the classic shift shape but with this bold eye-catching print it definitely stands out, this was another dress sent to me by Red Label, definitely worth checking out the latest things they have on the site. My topshop black fluffy cardigan has been a total staple in my wardrobe in Autumn/Winter and even through these colder Spring months, I thought this went perfectly to add to the slightly grungey look I went for when styling up this dress.

SHOP MY LOOK: wireless festival

Shirt - Miss Selfridge
Top - H&M
Bralet Underneath - Topshop
Shorts - Topshop
Boots - Primark
Necklace - Topshop
Choker - Asos

This time last week I was lucky enough to win tickets and go to Sunday's Wireless festival in London after winning the 'June #StyleBattle', this was an amazing prize considering only a month or so ago I was writing a festival inspired post saying that I wasn't going to one this year I was very lucky and excited to attend. I also took part in a VIP photo shoot with Shopcade which was another of the prizes, it was so much fun and I will be talking a bit more about that next week when the final photos come out! Of course I was keeping my eye out all day to see what everyone was wearing and there were some amazing festival styles around, I thought I would show you what I wore and create a mood board based on this so you are able to shop my Wireless look! Most of these bits aren't the actual items I was wearing as most of it was old, but I've created a look here with similar items.

What do you think of this festival look?
