Now I'm pretty sure if your reading this and your a blogger, then you've seen this pair of shoes recently, bloggers seem to of gone crazy for them and I've seen them more than a few times on my Instagram feed. This pair of lace up flats are definitely not my usual style - I'm more of a trainer girl than a pointed flats one, but after seeing these on social media and browsing in New Look I came across them and thought I would try them on. I don't have many pairs of black shoes or flats for spring so was interested to try these! I really wasn't sure to start with as I thought they weren't my sort of thing, but recently I've been wanting to branch out more with my personal style and become a bit more girly. Plus I think I've learnt it's good to change up your style every now and again otherwise you get stuck buying the same things! Anyway cut a long story short I am now a little bit in love with these flats.. they're really comfy and go with everything - can see myself getting so much wear out of them!

Will definitely start becoming a bit braver and stepping out of what I'm comfortable in from now on...

What do you think of these shoes?

I was flicking through one of my favourite seasonal magazines at the weekend, the Elle Collections SS15, and I'm always inspired by the way Elle design and set out this magazine, its a like a little scrapbook full of shows, trend and pretty much just serious outfit envy. After looking through all the designer shows for Spring/Summer this year - I decided to do a series of my own high street edit based on these collections.
First up is Jil Sander, I think this collection represents a smart, well dressed girl with a preppy edge. With culottes, open slit pencil skirts and socks with sandals being key parts of this collection, there is definitely a mixture of geek and chic within this. I am loving the polo t-shirts and graphic prints in this as well, I think this collection represents a little bit of everything!
So I've put together a few high street picks based on this collection...

Let me know what you think!

Tan Lace up Boots - (similar here)
Duster coat - Market (similar here)
Daisy Choker - Miss Selfridge

First off, I'm sorry it's been over 2 weeks since I last posted! As I explained in the last post I have been in the process of moving about 5 hours away from home, going to university interviews and starting a new job - so it's safe to say it's been slightly stressful the last few weeks! But I'm back now and ready to get my blog up and running.
Me and my boyfriend Jack have moved up to my parents holiday home in the Lake District for the summer, basically for a change and to explore somewhere new! About 5 minutes down the road is the perfect place for outfit posts, one of which I've never had the chance to be so near to before, the beach! Although I did underestimate the weather today, why does it have to be so much colder/windier next to the sea - I thought I struggled with trying to control my hair in the wind back home but this was a whole different story. Despite being freezing I soldiered on and managed to get a few bearable snaps!

I have been after a pair of Mom jeans for god knows how long, but I have always struggled with the whole smaller waist and bigger bum situation which means find Mom jeans that fit is a complete nightmare. I saw these in H&M and surprisingly they fit perfectly, so I will definitely be living in these now! I have also been after a plain white shirt for a while as they're such a great staple for your wardrobe so couldn't resist picking this one up in New Look, then of course to stop myself completely freezing my arse off I threw on my favourite duster coat.

Bring on the summer outfits on this beach!

Just a quick post this evening to show you what I've been up to during February over on Instagram!
I've been mega busy this week as I'm currently in the process of moving, which is why I've been very quiet and haven't managed to blog anything - I'm going to get organised and start getting back into scheduling posts! In the meantime I've still been instagramming and thought I'd create a little round up of my photos last month. I would absolutely love if you went and checked it out here, and would also love to check out some new accounts so make sure to leave the link to your instagram below so I can take a look!

Floral Bomber - Primark (similar here)
Bag - Urban Outfitters
Nike Air Force

I think it's now clear that I am a fan of sports inspired outfits... It's definitely a strong inspiration within my personal style, and here's another one up in todays post.
I've had this Primark floral bomber jacket for ages now and I have to confess I haven't worn it much yet, but it is a difficult one to wear in winter as it's a very thin material it will be much better for the spring months once it starts to get warmer. I paired it with my new military shirt, some wet look leggings and of course my nikes to finish off the sporty look. This was definitely one of those outfits that you throw together in hope that it will work but in the end I like how it turned out!

I'm sure I'm not the only one that sat glued to my laptop watching the Topshop Unique show on the Topshop website this afternoon and I think it's clear it definitely lived up to it's expectations, with fashion icons such as Alexa Chung, Cara Delevingne and Kendall Jenner in the front row, this was a show not to be missed.
It's a collection that included such a wide variety of popular trends for AW15, from fluff and embellishment to leather and floral prints - there seemed to be something for everyone. Here I have put together a selection of my favourite looks from the collection, you can see from mixing all these together in one image the variation of looks and textures that Topshop has shown. It seemed the inspiration behind the collection was almost an english country girl vibe with the floral prints and faux fur coats mixed a few 70s twists through the flares and knee high boots.
One of my favourite looks had to be the amazing brown velvet dungarees, as well as the gorgeous faux fur coats!

What were your favourite looks from the collection?

White Jumper - Primark
Choker - ASOS (similar here)
Boots - River Island (similar here)

Dungarees are fast becoming a very popular trend for SS15 and I just couldn't resist a pair for myself. I was unsure at first as I was worried I wouldn't get too much wear out of them but fell in love after trying on this pair in H&M, I think black is a great colour for dungarees as it goes with absolutely everything whereas denim is sometimes harder to pair up. These will be great throughout winter, spring and summer and I will embrace feeling like a child in dungarees again!
I layered up this outfit with a fishnet style jumper and my Nike sports bra underneath as I liked the fact you could subtly see the logo through the jumper. Again, a very monochome look.. I don't know what's happened to me but I am just loving all white and black recently!

What do you think of the dungaree trend?

Seperate Items in Kit:
Stay Don't Stray Primer - Benefit Cosmetics

A brown smokey eye is a favourite make up look of mine, and after getting this Benefit palette, has become pretty much my every day make up look! I got this palette for christmas as you probably tell from the packaging as Benefit bring out so many amazing gift sets over christmas, but as it is still available on the Benefit website and definitely something I would recommend as a staple item in your make up set, I thought I would pop up a post! It includes the four different long wear powder shades, a small eyeshadow primer and a small version of the They're Real! mascara (which is honestly the best mascara I've had) - all of the items together are worth £37 so it's great value for money for £19.50.

What are your favourite products to create a brown smokey eye?

Dogtooth Scarf - Charity Shop (similar here)
Watch - Olivia Burton
Hayden Boyfriend Jeans - Topshop

A short outfit post today, I just had to show off this shirt I bought last week. Boyfriend style shirts have been a big trend of this season and I've always loved the oversized, baggy masculine looks from bloggers that have continuously popped up on my Instagram and blog feed. I walked past New Look the other day and saw this pale blue pinstripe shirt on a mannequin and knew I had to buy it, I've been wanting one for ages and just think they're such a great staple piece for your wardrobe to layer up with a variety of outfits.
I found this dogtooth scarf in a charity shop for an absolute bargain price of £1.50! That is why I love charity shopping. It's very lightweight and not large one that you can wrap around your neck about 10 times but that's why I love it, it'll be a great scarf into the spring months as well!
